Meet the Team:

Peter, Licensed Physical TherapistPeter, Licensed Physical Therapist, President

Peter opened P D Rehab, Inc. in March, 2004 and is thrilled to have just celebrated 8 years of excellence in service. His interest in the body's anatomy and physiology led to three successful years in Medical School before switching to the hands-on science of physical therapy. He earned a Master's in Physical Therapy at the Academy of Physical Education in Krakow. Peter specializes in manual therapy, sports therapy, TMJ and spinal disorders. He has completed over 500 postgraduate hours in lectures, demonstrations and practical training. Peter added the Graston Technique® to his specialties in 2009 and became certified in Vestibular Rehabilitation therapy in 2012.

Before opening P D Rehab, Peter worked in various hospitals and orthopedic practices. He has created an environment at P D Rehab which combines the best qualities of the different places he has worked and he treats his patients with a personal and holistic approach. Peter enjoys his family, meeting new people and learning about other cultures. He speaks Polish, Russian, English and some of Spanish.

Eva, Licensed Physical Therapist Eva, Licensed Physical Therapist, Vice President

Eva received her Master's Degree in Rehabilitation at the Academy of Physical Education in Krakow, Poland. She graduated in 1995, moved to America and has been practicing since then.

Eva is married to Peter and they have two children; Adam is 11 and Julia is 7. She enjoys learning about other cultures and religions, and decorating and redecorating her house.

Eva gained a tremendous amount of experience with knee and hip problems while working for years in a nursing home environment. Eva is a certified LSVT® BIG! provider and leads our team that specializes in this ground breaking treatment for patients with Parkinson's disease. She completed Lymphedema training at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago and provides Lymphedema treatment in our Chicago office. Eva has also taken vestibular rehabilitation and foot problem courses and is an integral part of our Work Hardening and Work Conditioning programs.

Ewa, Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant/Certified Massage Therapist Ewa, Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant/Licensed Massage Therapist

Ewa received her Physical Therapist Assistant degree from Konstancin Medical College. She also received training from Massage Therapy Associates, Ltd. and is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association. Ewa received certification in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork from NCBTMB. She is a certified Kinesio Taping practitioner, has a certificate in Active Assistive Stretching and is also completing certification to become an LSVT® BIG provider.

Ewa specializes in massage therapy and therapeutic exercise for children with scoliosis. As Manager of The Good Posture Academy, she leads P D Rehab's fight against bad posture in children and adults. She is passionate about designing individualized and engaging treatment programs that strengthen each child's core muscles. Her dedication and genuine love for children shine through at each meeting, making each visit fun for the child and enjoyable for parents, knowing their child is in such good hands.

Ewa is interested in physical therapy, and enjoys sports-related activities like sailing, cycling, swimming, hiking, and scouting with her family. She is married and has 2 children. In the past Ewa enjoyed treating people in the music industry, giving therapeutic massages before and after the concerts. She has given massages to the Gipsy Kings, Metallica, Rod Stewart's managers, and Phil Collin's crew!

Kari, Director of Business Development Kari, Director of Business Development

Kari received her Bachelor's degree in Journalism and Broadcast Communication from the University of Minnesota. She has almost 20 years of marketing, event planning and management experience. Prior to joining the P D Rehab team, Kari spent 15 years at Discover Card, launching new initiatives and managing promotional campaigns. She also worked at the Shedd Aquarium, planning member events and raising funds to help renovate the Oceanarium and build the aquarium's interactive exhibits.

Kari has been married for 8 years and has 2 children. She is an active person and loves being outside in the sun running around with her kids, swimming, yoga and gardening. She's an avid reader, loves all kinds of music and makes her own jewelry. She's an animal-lover and enjoys photography and traveling - at last count, she has visited Ireland 8 times! Kari also volunteers for the AFSP (American Foundation for Suicide Prevention) and the Epilepsy Foundation, Greater Chicago.

Joan, Business Assistant Joan, Office Manager

Joan started out as a patient at P D Rehab, Inc. in 2004 and decided to stay. She has a teaching degree in Elementary Education and has been substitute teaching for the past 9 years. Prior to this she worked in accounting for over 10 years. In 2008 Joan took over the billing at P D Rehab.

Joan has been married for 21 years to Phil and they have 4 children, ages 19 to 12. She loves computers and electronic gadgets and enjoys swimming and reading. For the past few years Joan has been actively involved in Community Theater and has been in many musicals, currently The Music Man.

Front Desk and Rehab Aide ChicagoSandra, Rehab Aide and Office Assistant

Sandra is currently a student at UIC majoring in kinesiology and Polish. She is finishing her Bachelor's degree and plans to continue her education in Physical Therapy.

Sandra is an active person. She enjoys all kinds of sports - especially adrenaline inducing sports like skiing, scuba diving and motocross riding. Sandra is also interested in photography and art. She loves taking pictures while traveling and then gathering the memories in scrap books. Sandra also enjoys ballroom dancing.

Gosia Gosia, Administrative Assistant and Rehab Aide Chicago

Gosia received her Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology from the University of Illinois at Chicago in May. She plans to go to school to become a physical therapist in the near future.

Gosia enjoys being outdoors. She roller blades, runs outside when it is warm, and snowboards in the winter. Gosia also enjoys traveling, listening to music, dancing and reading. She is interested in cars and loves animals.

OlOla, Front Desk and Rehab Aide Prospect Heights

Ola is studying at Dominican University in River Forest, her major is undeclared. She graduated from St. James Polish School in Chicago and East Leyden High School.

Ola enjoys photography, painting, outdoor adventure and dancing. She also works elections as a student election judge. Ola has enjoyed traveling to Poland, Mexico, Austria, and Slovakia and learning about different cultures and religions.

MichalMichal, Licensed Massage Therapist

Michal is an independent Licensed Massage Therapist, who works primarily in Prospect Heights and Chicago.

MalgosiaMalgosia, Licensed Massage Therapist

Malgosia is an independent Licensed Massage Therapist, who works primarily in the Bloomingdale office.

Sharon Olszowka, Marketing Director Sharon Olszowka, Marketing Coordinator

Sharon Olszowka received her Bachelors Degree in Business and Marketing from DePaul University. She has experience marketing various products in her past positions for the past seven years. Sharon endorses products and services that promote health and well being.

Sharon enjoys running in the spring, summer, and fall, and downhill skiing in the winter. She has completed 3 half marathons and her favorite Half Marathon was in Disney World. Sharon loves the mountains at any time of the year. She enjoys skiing, camping, white water rafting and hiking anywhere, but loves to do all of them in Colorado. Sharon loves to travel when she has the chance.
