Gymnastics Classes for Children and Youth

THE IMPORTANCE OF CORRECT POSTURE IN CHILDREN

Good posture in children is very important to ensure they grow up healthy and happy. With the new generation of children spending a lot more time hunched over, looking at their screens, the concept of good posture becomes critical to their well-being. Add to this the sedentary nature of “Virtual School” and you can see why it has become a matter of concern. Therefore, for the second year, our clinic hosts dedicated classes for children and adolescents to address all kinds of postural issues children may develop. Our comprehensive program helps children to improve flexibility, balance, and posture, strengthen all muscle groups, decrease & prevent postural defects, and diminish foot deformations.

Classes are held twice a week under the supervision of an experienced instructor. Children are divided into two age groups because our experience shows that younger children – aged 5 – 10/11 years have primarily a problem with foot defects. Older children – 10/11 – 15 years old suffer mainly from postural defects.
Each child participating in the classes can additionally sign up for one free consultation with a physical therapist, if the parents feel it is necessary, and also gets a 10% discount on orthopedic inserts.
